Inter-County Nursing released a vaccination update to social media Monday night. According to the service, there are a very limited number of doses and appointments of the Covid-19 vaccine. Please do not attempt to schedule an appointment at a pilot site unless one of the following applies to you:

-You are 65 years or older; or,

-You are an educator or child care worker, and you have been notified by your employer that you have been selected to receive a vaccine.

The Minnesota Department of Health is now using a random selection process for appointments at the pilot community vaccination sites. In order to be considered for an appointment for a vaccine, Minnesotans aged 65 and older must first complete the pre-registration using the online portal at https://www.primarybio.com/r/vaccinate-mn  or by calling toll free at 833-431-2053.

The online portal will be available for pre-registration for 24 hours, starting on Tuesday, January 26 at 5:00 a.m. During these hours, a link to access the online portal will be live and available on the Minnesota Department of Health website. The call center will be open on Tuesday, January 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for pre-registration.

Due to high demand for vaccine appointments, Inter-County Nursing encourages Minnesotans to use the online portal if at all possible. If the call center line is busy, try calling again later.  The random selection process is NOT first come, first serve. Signing up for the pre-registration list means you will have a chance to be randomly selected, so you do not have to register right away. Anyone who is on the pre-registration list at the time of random selection will have the opportunity to be chosen to make an appointment for a vaccine.

Inter-county Nursing Services of Pennington & Red Lake County is not coordinating this pilot event and unfortunately are unable to help with registration.
