On the evening of 10/01/20, Red Lake County deputies and the Oklee Ambulance were dispatched to Hwy. #59, a couple of miles north of Brooks, to assist a female who was having a mental health crisis. She was a passenger in a vehicle that had been passing through and it stopped along the roadway so she could get some help. The female was assessed by the ambulance crew and she was medically cleared to be transported, by a deputy, to the Emergency Room at the Sanford Hospital in Thief River Falls so she could be evaluated by mental health professionals.
On the evening of 10/06/20, Trevor Wayne Caskey (20) of Bagley was cited for an equipment violation in the city of Oklee.
On the evening of 10/06/20, Joseph Leroy Gustafson (36) of Mentor was cited for speeding on Hwy. #59 south of Brooks.
On 10/07/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of some vandalism to a bench along the bike path on the north side of Red Lake Falls. That report is still under investigation.
On the morning of 10/08/20, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of property damage, non-injury, crash on CR. #14, approximately 1.5 miles west of Hwy. #32 in Lake Pleasant Township. A deputy responded to the scene and found that a juvenile female, was eastbound in a passenger car, lost control on the loose gravel and the vehicle entered the north ditch and overturned. There was also a juvenile passenger, but none of them were injured. The vehicle was severely damaged and had to be towed from the scene by Triangle Tire.
On the afternoon of 10/08/20, Mark Kenneth Murphy (65) of Fergus Falls was cited for speeding on CR. #5 north of Oklee.
